Writing

My writing exists between genres and disciplines, drawing on poetry, memoir, fiction, philosophy, history, and other practices to cultivate critical interiority. I often work with forms of personal narrative to explore self-awareness as a means of shaping and being shaped by the perceived world.

My books include the novella Sonny and several collections of poetry and short prose. I’ve recently completed the manuscript of a memoir, Pool of Stars, and am working on a novel, The Confusion of Figure and Ground.
