Articiple: Artist Interviews

ART•i•ci•ple [like participle], a word to describe an ongoing action.
Making. Creating. Generating. Talking.

In the mid-2010s, I interviewed a selection of Bay Area artists about their studio practice and creative processes. Painters, mixed media and interdisciplinary artists talked with me about materiality, theoretical orientation, political context, artistic community, and other aspects of making an ongoing body of work. Our conversations were like master classes where I could take a deep dive into these artists' worlds at a moment in time.
