Wool felting brings a tactile immediacy and a material simplicity that go to the heart of comfort and protection. I made these works as a gesture of care. Felt, the earliest known textile, was created more than 9,000 years ago through accident and invention. It’s entangled and pliant, a mesh of strength, and carries the legacy of nurturance that has kept our species alive through so many cacophonous millennia.
